E6B Slide Rule — Support

A circular slide rule for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad — the calculator side of an E6B, working the way the bezel on an aviator watch does.

Using it

Turn the outer ring with your finger, or with the Digital Crown on Apple Watch.
The rate index — the amber triangle — stays at twelve o'clock. Everything is read against it.
Set a rate once, then read every distance and time straight off the dial.
Let go mid-turn and the dial spins on and coasts to a stop.
Turn slowly and the crown gets finer, so you can settle precisely.
The dial stays where you left it for a day.

Where do I type the numbers in? You don't. It is a slide rule, not a calculator: you set the dial and read the answer off the scales.

Why is there no wind side? This is the calculator side only. The wind side is not included.

Why doesn't the clock go away on my watch? watchOS does not let an app hide it. The dial is laid out to sit clear of it.
